Introduction
Cyberdarks are a DARK Machine-based archetype inspired by the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The deck was primarily piloted by Zane Truesdale, who also piloted the Cyber Dragon deck, thus the two archetypes are linked.
Cyberdark decks are divided into two types: Fusion decks and Link decks. This guide focuses on the Fusion variant, but it will be expanded on in the future.
Fusion Cyberdarks have two powerful boss monsters at their disposal: Loading... and Loading... , both of which have access to the devastating Buster Lock. Despite its strength, the deck is vulnerable to disruptions during combos and having the aforementioned boss monsters tributed by Kaijus.
Main Deck
- Monsters
- Spells
- Traps
Dragon Buster Destruction Sword
Loading...
, activates the Buster Lock, a powerful floodgate that prevents your opponent from Summoning any
monster from the Extra Deck, often resulting in an instant surrender. Optimally, you'll equip Loading...
to Loading...
or Loading...
by using Loading...
's effect.
Cyber Dragon Herz
Loading... primarily serves as fodder for Loading... , as it can be sent from your hand or Deck to your Graveyard, triggering its effect to add a "Cyber Dragon" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Loading... 's name is treated as "Cyber Dragon" once it is on the field or in the Graveyard.
TIP: When attempting to Fusion Summon Loading... , after using Loading... to send both Loading... and Loading... to the Graveyard, make sure Loading... is Chain Link 2 to ensure the effect of Loading... resolves and you have enough Fusion Materials.
Cyber Dragon Nachster
You can Special Summon Loading... by discarding a monster from your hand. When Loading... is Normal or Special Summoned, it can Special Summon any monster with 2100 ATK or DEF from your Graveyard; with this effect, you will primarily Summon Loading... or Loading... . Loading... is rarely used because Loading... is more effective with Loading... .
Cyber Dragon Core
The deck's best Normal Summon is Loading... ; it searches for a "Cyber" Spell or Trap. Most of the time, you'll be adding Loading... or Loading... , but if you already have access to them, you can add Loading... to empower your boss monsters, or Loading... to ensure you meet the requirements to activate Loading... . Loading... can also banish itself from the Graveyard while only your opponent controls a monster to Special Summon a "Cyber Dragon" monster from the Deck for comeback plays.
TIP: If you already have the cards required to Summon Loading... , make sure to Normal Summon Loading... first during your combos to bait out disruption from your opponent.
Cyber Dragon
Loading... is a versatile card in the deck. While you control no monsters you can Special Summon Loading... to use as Link Material alongside your Normal Summon or to get rid of annoying cards your opponent controls with Loading... or Loading... . In addition, if you need to activate Loading... 's Graveyard effect but cannot use it as Link Material, you can use it as a Tribute to Summon Loading... . Furthermore, Loading... can be used as one of the costs to activate Loading... .
Attachment Cybern
Loading... , as an Equip Card, gives the equipped monster 600 ATK and, when sent to the Graveyard, can Special Summon a "Cyber" monster from the Graveyard. This card hardly sees use as Loading... and Loading... are superior as Equip Cards and can be searched from the deck.
TIP: When equipped from the hand or field, Loading... does not count as being equipped by the Cyberdark Machine monsters' effects, so they will not gain additional ATK other than Loading... 's 600 ATK boost.
Cyberdark Claw
Loading... can be discarded to search your deck for any "Cyberdark" Spell or Trap. Loading... and Loading... should always be your first options to consider, as both are required for Summoning your boss monsters from the Extra Deck. Furthermore, once in the Graveyard, Loading... can be used as an Equip Card which sends a monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard during damage calculation.
TIP: If you already have access to Loading... and Loading... , make sure to discard Loading... first during your combos to bait out disruption from your opponent.
Loading... can be used as Fusion Material to Summon Loading... , and when discarded, it searches your deck for Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , or Loading... . When used as an Equip Card, Loading... can also send a monster from your Deck to the Graveyard during damage calculation.
TIP: Because it is one of the deck's weaker searches, make sure to discard Loading... first during your combos to bait out disruption from your opponent.
Cyberdark Horn, Edge, & Keel
Loading...
, Loading...
and Loading...
are primarily used for fodder to Fusion Summon Loading...
. They can also be Normal Summoned, which activates their effect, which equips them with a Level 3 or lower Dragon monster from your Graveyard and grants them half of its original ATK. Loading...
is the best of the trio because it can attack directly, allowing the effects of Loading...
and Loading...
to be easily activated. Loading...
is the least used due to its lacklustre burn effect. You should only use two of these three cards, as Summoning
Loading...
is not worth it.
Cyberdark Chimera
Loading... is arguably the most important card in the deck because it improves your ability to Fusion Summon boss monsters from the Extra Deck with greater consistency. You almost always want to use Loading... to Summon Loading... , then use its effect to search your Deck for Loading... by discarding a Spell or Trap, while also allowing you to banish monsters from your Graveyard as Fusion Material. Loading... can then be used as Link Material in conjunction with your Normal Summon which will trigger Loading... 's Graveyard effect to mill a "Cyberdark" monster with a different name to the cards in your Graveyard.
Cyber Repair Plant & Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju
These cards are primarily used in Cyber Dragon decks, but they can also be used by Cyberdarks. Loading... searches your deck for a LIGHT Machine monster, such as Loading... , which can then be used to easily remove a boss monster from your opponent's field.
Cyber Eternal
Loading... allows you to make powerful boards with multiple boss monsters at the expense of consistency. After Fusion Summoning Loading... and equipping it with Loading... , tribute it to Summon Loading... , then use Loading... to Special Summon Loading... back to the field from the Graveyard. Loading... can also be banished from the Graveyard to prevent the destruction of Machine "Cyber" Fusion Monsters you control.
Power Bond
Loading... gives you access to the most powerful cards in your Extra Deck while also doubling the ATK of the monster Summoned. The only drawbacks are that you take damage equal to the ATK gained from its effect during the End Phase, and you can only use monsters from your hand or field (a limitation that can be overcome by using Loading... ).
Overload Fusion
Loading... can be used to supplement an OTK by Fusion Summoning a DARK Machine from your Extra Deck. Furthermore, Loading... is a viable recovery option if your Loading... is disrupted or your Turn 1 board is destroyed.
Cyber Emergency
Loading... can search your Deck for any "Cyber Dragon" monster. With this effect, you'll mostly be adding Loading... . If you don't have any monsters to use with Loading... , you can add Loading... instead.
Cybernetic Horizon
Loading... allows you to Fusion Summon using monsters from your Main Deck and Extra Deck. Loading... and one of Loading... , Loading... , or Loading... are the best Main Deck monsters to send to the Graveyard with its effect, with other card combinations being suboptimal but acceptable. In terms of Extra Deck monsters, mill Loading... to protect your Fusion Monsters during an OTK, or mill Loading... to increase the ATK of Loading... or to Summon Loading... .
TIP: If you don't have enough Cyberdark monsters to Fusion Summon Loading... , you can use Loading... 's effect to send Loading... to the Graveyard instead to help meet the requirements.
Cyberdark Realm
Loading...
allows you to search your deck for any "Cyberdark" monster with a different name from the cards in your Graveyard.
You primarily want to search for either Loading...
or Loading...
with this effect. Furthermore, Loading...
allows you to Normal Summon a "Cyberdark" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
Cyberdark Invasion
Loading... can equip a Machine or Dragon from either Graveyard to a "Cyberdark" you control. This is normally used to provide more fuel to Loading... for disruption. Additionally, equips on Loading... grant it more attacks per Battle Phase. Loading... can also destroy one of your opponent's cards by sending an Equip Card you control to the Graveyard.
TIP: Keep in mind that the destructive effect of Loading... does not target.
Extra Deck
Chimeratech Rampage Dragon
Loading... allows the deck to play more aggressively and OTK, especially when combined with Loading... . By using two or more "Cyber Dragon" monsters, Loading... can destroy Spells or Traps on the field up to the number of Fusion Materials used for its Fusion Summon. It can also send up to two LIGHT Machine monsters from the deck to the Graveyard, gaining an extra attack for each card sent.
Cyberdark Dragon
When you're unable to get five Main Deck "Cyberdark" cards for the Fusion Summon of Loading... , you can send Loading... to the Graveyard from the Extra Deck with Loading... to be used as Fusion Material.
Chimeratech Overdragon
Loading... is a Fusion Monster that can be Summoned by fusing a "Cyber Dragon" monster and one or more Machine monsters, and it is used to wipe your opponent's board and OTK.
TIP: Keep in mind that Loading... sends all other cards you control to the Graveyard.
Cyber End Dragon
The main purpose of Cyber End is to be sent to the Graveyard with Loading... and equipped onto Loading... to grant an ATK boost and the option of Summoning Loading... .
Cyber Eternity Dragon
When going for an OTK, Loading... can be sent from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard with the effect of Loading... to protect your Fusion Monsters from being targeted or destroyed for a turn.
Cyberdarkness Dragon
Loading...
can be Fusion Summoned with five "Cyberdark" Effect Monsters as materials. When Special Summoned, it can equip a Dragon or Machine from your Graveyard to itself, increasing Loading...
's attack by the equipped monster's original ATK. The majority of the time, you'll want to equip Loading...
for the 4000 ATK boost and the option to Special Summon Loading...
. Loading...
equipped with Loading...
is usually the best Turn 1 play because it can prevent removal like Loading...
from destroying your back row while also disrupting your opponent's plays by sending any
Equip Card you control to the Graveyard.
Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon
Loading... can be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by using a "Cyber Dragon" and monsters from the Extra Monster Zone as material, making it an easy way to get rid of an opponent's monster(s).
Chimeratech Fortress Dragon
Using a "Cyber Dragon" and one or more Machine monsters from either field, you can Special Summon Loading... from the Extra Deck, making it an easy way to get rid of your opponent's Machine monsters. This is especially useful for preventing cards like Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... from disrupting your combos.
Cyberdark End Dragon
Most commonly Summoned by tributing a Loading...
equipped with a Loading...
, Loading...
is the ultimate beat-stick, being unaffected by your opponent's activated effects
and being able to attack a number of times per turn depending on the number of cards equipped to it. You'll want to Summon this for an OTK on Turn 2, as Loading...
is considered the better Turn 1 play.
TIP: Keep in mind that Loading... is still vulnerable to continuous effects like Loading... and Loading... .
Cyber Dragon Sieger
Loading... can be Summoned by linking any Machine and a "Cyber Dragon" monster. Because it is treated as a "Cyber Dragon" while on the field or in the Graveyard, it can be used as Fusion Material, or its effect can be used to increase the ATK/DEF of any Machine monster with 2100 current ATK or more by another 2100.
Predaplant Verte Anaconda
Loading... can be Summoned by linking any two Effect Monsters, allowing you to use Loading... from your deck for 2000 LP but preventing you from Special Summoning for the rest of the turn. This can be used to Fusion Summon Loading... , Loading... , Loading... or Loading... .
Union Carrier
Loading... can be Summoned by linking two monsters of the same Type or Attribute - a requirement that is easily met in a Cyberdark deck due to having an additional Normal Summon with the effect of Loading... . Loading... can equip a monster from your hand or Deck to a monster you control that has the same original Type or Attribute. You'll mostly want to access the Buster Lock with this effect by equipping Loading... or Loading... with Loading... . If your opponent does not use the Extra Deck, consider using Loading... or Loading... as an Equip Card instead.
Elder Entity N'tss
Loading... can be sent from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard to destroy an opponent's card using the effect of Loading... (when treated as an Equip Card).
Wind Pegasus @Ignister
Loading... can be sent from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard using the effect of Loading... (when treated as an Equip Card). When your opponent destroys a card you control, Loading... can shuffle a card your opponent controls into the deck by banishing itself from the Graveyard.
Salamangreat Almiraj
Loading... is useful when you have a single Loading... on the field and need to use its Graveyard effect to meet the requirements to Summon Loading... . When Loading... is on the field, it can Tribute itself to protect a monster you control from being destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
TIP: If you need Loading... in the Graveyard to use as an Equip Card, you can Normal Summon it and use it as Link Material to Summon Loading... .
Tech Cards
IMPORTANT:
Since Loading...
requires any Spell or Trap to be in your hand to activate its effect, make sure you prioritise using tech cards that are Spells and Traps.
TIP: If your opponent uses disruption while you have a 'counter' Spell or Trap in your hand, such as Loading... , Loading... , or Loading... , only use those cards if your opponent will disrupt a key part of your combo, and save them to be discarded with Loading... .
Maxx "C"
Loading... can give you a huge card advantage or stop a combo deck's turn.
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
Loading... is a general usage negate that can stop key cards in your opponent's combos.
Effect Veiler
During your opponent's turn, Loading... can negate the effects of one of your opponent's monsters.
Pot of Prosperity
Loading... can improve deck consistency by adding a card from the top three or six cards of your deck.
TIP: Cyberdarks are one of the few decks capable of OTK through Loading... .
Called by the Grave
Loading... banishes and negates a monster in your opponent's Graveyard.
TIP: This card is especially useful for countering hand traps such as Loading... and Loading... , making the deck less vulnerable to disruption.
Crossout Designator
Loading... can banish a card from your Deck to negate the effects of all cards with the same name that turn.
TIP: Make sure you have at least one copy of popular hand traps so you can negate them when your opponent activates them.
Forbidden Droplet
On Turn 2, Loading... is a powerful card because it can negate and halve the ATK of monsters your opponent controls.
Harpie's Feather Duster
Loading... can be used to wipe your opponent's back row cards.
Lightning Storm
While you have no face-up cards, Loading... can either wipe your opponent's back row or all Attack Position monsters they control.
Infinite Impermanence
Loading... can be activated from your hand to negate one of your opponent's monster effects, and when activated when set, it can also negate a Spell or Trap in its column.
Red Reboot
Loading... can be activated from your hand by paying half your LP to negate an opponent's trap. This is especially useful against Loading... .
TIP: Loading... is especially useful against Loading... , a hand trap that can negate your Loading... or Loading... and completely shut down your combos.
Example Decklist
Combos
There are several intricate combinations and plays you can make with Cyberdarks, but the two most common ones are Rampage OTK and the Buster Lock. These combos require you to have Loading... and one of Loading... or Loading... in addition to any Spell or Trap in your hand.
TIP: Any Cyberdark monster can be used in place of Loading... , while any Cyber Dragon monster can be used in place of Loading... .

- Loading... for an additional Normal Summon the following turn.
Conclusion
Because the majority of the core cards are available through structure deck purchases, Cyberdarks is a low-cost deck that is well worth the gems. Being able to disrupt your opponents with Loading... multiple times per turn, OTK-ing your opponent with Loading... and Loading... , and completely preventing your opponent from using the Extra Deck with Loading... provides a diverse set of fun play styles contained within a single deck.
