Introduction

When talking about the oldest archetypes that have ever been created in Yu-Gi-Oh!, one just simply can't go over the details without mentioning about the legendary Gravekeepers, which were released in the Pharaonic Guardian Booster Pack back in 2003 in both TCG and OCG format. Being considered one of the oldest archetypes that have ever existed and are still running strong in the game, Gravekeepers can still see a fair amount of play over time in Master Duel. In fact, it is the first-ever archetype to be formed, even before Dark Magicians, Blue-Eyes, or even Exodia the Forbidden One:

"Gravekeeper's" is the first proper archetype in the TCG/OCG, in that it is the first card series to receive support cards (in Pharaonic Guardian) that specifically interact with cards containing the "Gravekeeper's" string in their names.

Though the "Dark Magician", "Blue-Eyes", and "Forbidden One" archetypes include cards from sets before Pharaonic Guardian, they did not receive supporting cards that specify their archetypal name until much later.

Yugipedia

Gravekeepers, as the name suggests, keep up their sleeves one of the most powerful niches in the game: The ability to prevent your opponent from fully utilizing their Graveyard effects to their fullest potential and severely hinder their game state. Even though it has been roughly 2 decades since their arrival, the deck is still filled with decent techs that can generally "say NO" to your opponent's capabilities in establishing even a functional board, and our signature field spell: Necrovalley, was, and still is, a powerful tool as well as the main face of an archetype that has been living up to its name and the legacy it has built over the years.

If you've read to this point and are still interested in the deck, allow me to show you the ins and outs of how it works in general.

Definitely interested in the preda version. Do you think the new preda support will help? Specifically will bufolicula make Supernaturalist easier to turbo out?

Amazing write-up!

Hey there Rehin

I would say mostly yes, you can utilize Bufolicula's effect to turbo out Supernaturalist, of course, providing that you have the mats for him.

Of course, it's of note that there are some effects like the one from "Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon" where you can "target 1 DARK monster in your GY; Special Summon it." after it is sent to the GY by an opponent's card effect, which will definitely not work under "Necrovalley", so you will have to look out for that. Other than these, I'm sure the new support will definitely work out!
