Battle Trajectory is the latest Selection Pack to be released in Master Duel, featuring the brand new Scareclaw and Vaylantz archetypes, as well as new supporting cards for Odd-Eyes and Pendulum Strategies! Here's a quick rundown of the newly released cards, some sample decks, and combo guides to get you started!

Scareclaw

Scareclaw is a Link-focused deck that swarms the field and grants the boss monster Scareclaw Tri-Heart the ability to perform lethal plays going second or controlling the field going first. The deck is playable at release due to the early arrival of TCG set Power of the Elements which gives the deck an extremely potent monster in Scareclaw Light-Heart. Despite not being competitive, players have been enjoying Scareclaw in spite of its relatively high cost. The deck can currently be played pure, or alternatively with a Tri-Brigade engine.

Vaylantz

Designed with a tabletop game theme both aesthetically and mechanically, Vaylantz is a very difficult to play Pendulum archetype centered around moving your monsters around the field to activate their powerful effects. With good consistency and the ability to play Small World, Vaylantz is rarely without a play to make. The game plan at this point involves searching Cyber-Stein to Summon Naturia Exterio while also setting up multiple monster negates. While Vaylantz is not competitive, there are many available resources to learn the deck, and a lot of players trying to learn the deck.

Performapal / Odd-Eyes

Both Odd-Eyes and Performapal received support in Battle Trajectory, with the deck being an amalgamation even moreso than it previously was. The addition of the new Performapal monsters allows for a variety of new Extra Deck plays including access to boss monsters like Baronne de Fleur and Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing, while the new Odd-Eyes card gives the deck an additional negate. Much like the other decks, the competitive viability is still low, but the cards have been warmly welcomed by both Performapal and Odd-Eyes players.

Still never get why Scareclaw is expensive af. They're not like dinomorphia where they'll be rouge tier after their next support Also why the field spell search is a ur,all of the field searcher are sr at worst and do more than just search(Striker dragon and Dark Infant) Sure it can ss itself in the gy,if you control a specific monster

Dinomorphia will be rogue for a short amount of time. Once Spright and Tear drop, the whole banlist will get dwarfed. Meta decks will become rogue decks and rogue decks will just disappear.

So far, MD has been doing monthly ban list hits so they'll probably do the same to Tear and Spright after some time. Also, when it comes to the Ishizu cards, they could just release them with hits already since they've set that precedent

Hrmmm, I like Pendulum Decks for the sheer variety of options they bring. Maybe I will make a Vaylantz list. Scareclaw still seems too expensive though

I wasn’t playing YGO during the original pendulum days, but I’m already seeing why electrumite among other cards were banned. The dumb pend magician FTK with the lyrilusc fusion needs to go, and that’s just the FTK. The pendulum mechanic has too much generic support in MD at this point. Needs to have some hits
