Compared to other "good" Secret Packs, Dragon Spirit is sort of a "late bloomer", as its full value wasn't noticed until much later, (indeed only being used interchangeably to refer to the Zefra cards), when the Selection Pack Refined Blade, containing the meta-defining Swordsouls, was finally made available to Master Duel players and Wyrm enthusiasts around. And credit must be given when it's due: Dragon Spirit's sheer amount of useful cards, covering every rarity, even the lowest ones, makes even the best packs in the game pale in comparison.
...for the decks that can use it. For there is, indeed, a catch: Dragon Spirit becomes the best pack in the game only if AND when your Deck makes use of Wyrms, one of the Types with the least amount of support and representation in the whole Yu-Gi-Oh universe, with some cards aggravating it further by gatekeeping their full power to Wyrms, in a (half-baked, to be honest) attempt to keep it balanced.
That being said, with the substantial increase of engines that can employ them, like P.U.N.K., Rose Dragon, Adventure, Swordsoul, as well as the already existing Zefra and Destrudo techs in several other decks, the immensely fortunate heritages of the Yang Zing, an archetype which just refuses to have a disappointing Synchro (especially Denglong and Yazi) in their ranks, due to how good they are, and the Tenyis, serving as the poster child of "Wyrm goodstuff" and "non-effect shenanigans", have finally reached the appreciation the deserved... if your Deck can afford to run them.
