Surely only Skill Drain at 2 and no other hits will be enough to slow down eldlich in bo1 format Copium
and people said halqdon still at full power after the banlist. it seems hitting crossout is enough to shake the meta. (i still agree to ban auroradon, but chill out first will ya and see the tournament result first before freaking out) And as expected eldlitch still running free in BO1 meta. the deck still need some hit so we can move on from 1 control deck dominating format to let other control deck time to shine.
No hate but I'm going to have to question the reliability of these tournaments to determine the meta. Prank kids didn't make top 4, 2 madolche in top 16, no swordsoul tenyi, haven't seen Tri brigade in like forever. Maybe this time it's an anomaly, but Tri brigade being absent week after week is definitely questionable
These tournaments are always going to have questionable reliability due to how they operate. Before, they had the two deck thing going on, and even now they're still doing best of 3s.
Not really sure why we let these tournaments determine the tier of decks for Master Duel specifically when they refuse to follow the same rules as the ladder itself.
Well the DMC tournaments are no side in the spirit of ladder. They are just best of 3 to sort of represent the tournament formatting and showcase the consistency of the decks played (which can show the power level of a deck). As for the tournaments determining the tier, well that's the thing, it's all based on results and overall representation, no bias or anything. If there's a really good deck and only 1 person is playing and tops it's not gonna be regarded as highly as others that have more representation and higher tops.
I do believe that, of course, it's going to generally give similar results, but I do also think that slight variations in operation are why the tiered decks and the actual number of uploaded decklists of certain archetypes are skewed.
I do definitely think madolche, whilst a strong rogue deck, is an anomaly in the tier 3 category, having a higher power level than dragon link apparently. And why isn't Tri brigade being played in these tournaments when it got top 10 in duelist cup, it's clearly still a good deck regardless of side deck. I think there should be greater incentive to use underrepresented or straight up the best decks
I appreciate the players using different decks for these tournaments. Adventure Prank Kids is obviously the best deck in the format, and would consume a large piece of the pie in a regular YCS, so I can’t blame players for not wanting to just play the same deck every week.
The meta is actually Adventure Prank and then everything else. It’ll be that way for a while until Meow-Meow-Mu is completely banned.
