As usual, grinding ladder with VW is like playing a rigged slot machine. Last time I was in Vegas I won $126 off a slot machine but that doesn't mean the odds were in my favor. This season, my coin flip luck was ~41% heads and ~59% tails. Even the blackjack tables at the Cosmopolitan have better odds, for fuck's sake.

Going second is a crapshoot but VW can break boards going second better than you would expect (mostly because of Zeus).

You can dismantle most Dragon Link boards if you can bait out Borrelend's negate. Use Zeus or Chengying to remove the Borrelend.

Your matchup into Swordsoul is pretty decent too -- if they don't have Blackout / Evil Longyuan, you just bait out their negates and then drop a 4 material Zeus. Remember to save your chuche / kauwloon for AFTER the Zeus board wipe and you should be able to shut down their followup play.

Despia matchup is super awkward going second -- you want to force the BIR / guardian chimera early with the Adventurer engine then bounce Mirrorjade with M7. Fanfan / Chengying can banish the Albion in the GY.

Anyway, if you enjoy your sanity, grind with a different deck. Seriously.
