Notes & Combos
Evil Eye relies on Serziel, Watcher of the Evil Eye to be our prime boss monster. He tutors the whole archetype and enables anywhere from a simplified board state with himself as a pseudo-towers with Evil Eye of Selene, to more aggressive combo-like play to end on any of the extra deck bosses given the right circumstances.
The optimal turn 1 end board would revolve around Serziel Equipped with Selene and King Deus Machinex; which can be done with 2 cards, assuming that nothing had been interrupted. In the case of a resolved Maxx C, often it is not difficult to go into an alternative route that provides 0 card advantage to the opponent while managing to maintain a fairly sufficient board, namely Serziel equipped with Selene.
The Main Goal of the Build is to while down the opponent's resources until they have nothing left to stop the game ending plays. Whether the plays is purely beat down to an accelerated combo play to go for lethal is all dependent on the situation.
For those that are using this build as a reference:
- The Handtraps and Tech-cards are all based on the current meta, and can be swapped out depending on the prevalence of the match up.
- The Core of the Deck is 3x Serziel, 3x Pareidolia, 1x Terraforming, and 3-4 x Selene/Gorgonieo. Outside of them, the rest of the deck and even extra deck is quite flexible.
- The Familiars facilitate most of the Xyzs and Link plays, both being aided by the handtraps. If removed, the extra deck can be Pot fodder.
