Notes & Combos
Hello! Finally, after lot of struggle I reached Diamond 1 with account playing only Sky Striker. I tinkered a lot with list and this is specific list which gave me best results in final d1 climb. More about tech choices, I will add in comment below. They depend on rank tbh. Here I want to tell you more bout decklist itself. First of all, if you wanna op, broken deck for easy wins - IT IS NOT THAT. Sky strikers are not best tier now. There are many decks that do much more, easier. So why I play Sky Striker? My first contact with yugioh was master duel and this was my first deck. I dont like this garbage, ego boosting combos for whole timer, I enjoy GAME OF 2 PEOPLE. And Sky Striker do that. It gives you space for some creativity, outsmarting opponent, using a lot of spells, without taking much timer. It is fair, good deck. Not very popular. BUT NOT BEST ONE and NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BROKEN LEVELS. After adding new cards it got popularity boost - but people realized it is not that strong and stopped playing it again - and I am grateful for that. x) So if you want deck for collecting as many wins as possible - choose other archetype. But if it fits you, play Sky Striker. One general thing about my build is I have some wild choices- cutting continous spells, having a lot of draw. Best way of playing SS is reserved, patient, collect small wins and use window for win if given. And my lists allows that, with some explosive potential. I think less explosive builds dont work in this meta.
Top Secret Packs used

part2:
- 3x Pot of D - explained above.
- Pot of A - similiar reasons like Pot of D, but more conditional. It can brick you often, but you can play 2 copies ez, just keep planning ahead and roll additional Kaina into gy. With hand traps, u get 5 monsters there ez, though it is not as certain as Pot of D. And hf bringing back 2x Kagari :V
- Raigeki, Lightning Storm - I felt I need this breaking board heavy hitters. In higher diamond i needed it way more than other things. !!
- !! 2x Roze - Pot of D banish is one reason, 45 cards and better ratio for starter is second reason BUT BIGGEST REASON for me is that in rare case that you want to go for otk second turn, drawing Roze to your hand makes it impossible. UNLESS you have second Roze in deck to pull with Hayate. Also, her both effects sometimes catch opponent by surprise. Summoning her from hand in battle allowed me to get damage for kill couple times already.
- Kaiju - people played crazy weird stuff and I needed that to move unmovable objects. And you can search for it. Cosmic Cyclone - dunno, just works for me
- 3x Linkage - I was trying playing 1x or 2x but even in 40 cards deck, 3x Linkage worked best for me. Cant really explain it reasonably.
- Upstart - tbh I am not sure about this card. Bcs going second, you really dont wanna have it in your opening hand. It is brick when could be hand trap instead. But somehow in 45 cards it bricks significantly less and allows 3 spells in gy a lot when you need them. Cant explain reasonably, works for me.
- 2x Kaina - tbh it is surprisingly important extender of some setups. Not often, but sometimes. And sometimes it allowed me to win game with his sneaky effect when summoned (it works FOR NEXT TURN AFTER SUMMONING AS WELL)
- Charmers - Meta is weird, these 3 charmers work best for me.
NOW; WHY CUTTING SOME CARDS?
- 2 x Hayate, Shizuku - games are so explosive, that honestly I would rarely have chance to use both of them 3 times good. And usually there is no viable target to be pulled out by 3rd Shizuku from deck.
- WHY NO MODULE - when you go second (which we do all the time) this is literally brick card 90% of games. Plus you need other cards in specific synergy and timing to make it used. I literally dont feel I have place for this card in my hand, when I have to struggle so hard to break boards made by some op decks in current meta. In most of my wins, if I had module for ANY of my other cards, I would lose that match. And if I lost match, it is rather sure that module wouldnt help me. Remember, we cheat as much value as we can. And this is not good value for current state of things in master duel.
- NO FIELD SPELL - similiar reason like module. Plus you would rather use terraforming which can brick you hard.
- NO SHARK CANNON - dunno it just felt not that worth in many many games. But it may be meta thing. I was meeting a lot Flows and other degenerate things that made it totally useless.
TIPS:
Though this build seems quite explosive - I recommend rather slower and safer play. Clear the board, keep negate to deny whole opponent next turn and go on. Usually I try to plan at least 2 or 3 turns ahead, what opponent may have, what I may need. And with little bit of luck, 2 x kagari you can prepare yourself quite well. And if you would decide to go for otk with Raye Linkage l combo - IT CAN BE VERY EASILY NEGATED. Opponent needs just one trap and you wasted all resources you had for your turn and achieved nothing. Sometimes you have to take this coin flip and risk otk but I would say it is rather to be avoided. Control your opponent, Kagari, Pots, some other fancy tricks you will figure out allow you to score small victories and either snowball into win or just hunt that small window for kill that you need. So, you easily can play this wild build slower and control opponent, but it allows you also to push things harder. BUT IT DOESNT GO OTHER WAY - slower builds with module and other useless brick cards allow you to only play slow, but they allow you also to brick harder only. :V I dont think there is place for them in meta right now, no matter of rank. Feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts! I Would love to get to know your ideas and suggestions, as I consider myself very noob still. Despite hitting d1, I make tons of misplays. I dont know many other archetypes etc. But if I managed to hit d1, I am sure you can as well!

part1: GUYS; PLEAES REMEMBER - TECH CARDS DEPEND ON YOUR RANK: FOR EXAMPLE IN HIGH DIAMOND I WAS MEETING WAY LESS RUNIC AND LABRYNTH AND MORE COMBO, THEREFORE I WENT FOR RAIGEKI, KAIJU ETC. YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT YOUR RATIOS BY URSELF AND ADJUST TO ENEMIES YOU MEET. (Though grinding now on lower elo acc I still play raigeki and kaiju :V )
-
Ghost Belle - works great in this meta.
-
Maxx - can stop opponent whole turn, though from my experience it get called or crossout each game x). I still keep it though.
-
Ash - auto include for me. Many game won just by single ash.
-
Veiler, Imperm - just like ash. And tbh, even in 40 card deck i would try to fit 3x and 3x both.I cannot give you reasonable background for that, but it just literally feels good and working better than cutting them off.
-
Feather Duster - auto include for me.
-
45 CARDS - So, I chose to play 45 cards, reasons are these - I want to play 2x Roze and 3 x Pot of D (as u maybe seen on fafnirmd utube channel, this is pot which constantly keeps trolling me. ((banishing all my sky striker monsters, drawing 2 other copies of pot etc)) BUT DESPITE THAT it gives you that recovery potential later or just in 2nd turn. It ate ashe or other negate countless times for me. It is very important card, especially because I dont think Sky Striker is good tier now. You need to cheat all advantages you can for you. Pot of D helps you with that. I definitely want to keep 3 copies because I want to draw it early and draw it for sure. 45 cards give you some more space for drawing and banishing and also helps with ratio for banishing cards you might need.

part3: Right now on other acc I grind with different version of deck. It looks more like older meta Strikers which is more like experimental for the now - what an irony x). I cut it to 40 cards there, I play 1x shark cannon and 1x module. If I hit d1 with it, imma post it. That 40 cards, slower version may seem more elegant, but I remember that it was problematic for me to get straight into d1 when I was playing it and I had to discover these Wilder, more explosive ways you see above. Also, one note about module, triple tactics and generally possibly bricky cards. If you even wanna play them, I suggest changing whole deck profile little bit. Bricks are risky picks but can gain you some huge value - try to cheat the risk as much as you can. For example, add droplets to discard the brick. Just throwing triple tactic to deck like above seems little 2 crazy even for me x) (Though I played it for a while like that :V I still miss you Zombie Vampire , I know you always wanted to be Sky Striker:3). I mean, I encourage everyone to find what works for him (and share so I can learn :p )but I encourage even more to try to make it work like well oiled machine - look for ways to enhance your synergies etc - maybe that simple thing, this little bit of oil between modes of your machine, is what is missing to make your own creation deck tier 0 :) Good luck! PS Do you know that Sky Striker is not actually Raye? It is her sword.
