Notes & Combos
Loyal Swordsoul players may have recognized that the Tenyi variant going first is basically Anti-Spell pass, because the Swordsoul end board sucks ass. but it's still the better variant for climbing since you will win coin toss half the time. This is a deck built to never go first and either OTK your opponent or leave them on top deck. So you have to be sharp and smart with your interruptions. In that sense, to me it is a little bit more rewarding. Plus I get to play cards like Phantazmay and Instant Fusion which I love. Droplet is better than Dark Ruler because sometime you need to dodge spot negation, dodge Skill Drain, get names in GY for Taia, or just getting rid of that second Pot of Desires, all while still being able to deal damage in the same turn. Crimson Blader can solo end the game in a mirror match or vs Branded. Phantazmay is very good vs everything that isn't Branded or Runick. Honestly 2x Ghost Belle is stronger here but 1. I love Phantazmay, 2. He allows you to reorder your hand to better adapt and 3. He is also lv7, so with Veiler you can make Scarlight Red or Draco Berserker out of nowhere. Belle sees use vs Branded, Runick and everybody using Called by the Grave. On that note Runick is probably the strongest deck going first this format, and since this list blind second I've had to scoop a lot vs them. It is what it is and we find wins elsewhere.
