TLDR: Deskbot Jet is played only because it is a generic machine Level 10.¹ Deskbot 001 can be useful in other builds, but in this build, the additional body provides no benefit.²

① It comes up in the Rose + Drones line when you get handtrapped specifically on Wind-up Rat after linking off Zenmaicarrier, which is normally the machine you pair with Barricadeborg to make Auradon. *Technically it also comes up in Redrose+7+extender lines, where you make Baronne early and need a throwaway Level 10 - this can be Chengying, but if you make Chengying you start having board space issues and you miss out on a Qixing draw - so taking that into account also, Jet, which clears itself from the field by popping itself and Yazi, is just better.

② Because of Extra Deck space constraints, the additional tuner cannot be used for anything other than as the extra body needed as a tribute for Auradon to do the more extensive combo - this can come up in one situation only - when they handtrap the Wind-Up Rat in the Rose + Drones line - but it's not worth playing a brick just for that, especially because you can do the smaller combo anyway, which misses out just on Berserker of the Tenyi ＆ the draws from Qixing and Moye.
