Notes & Combos

I went with a second Secret Village because it's just so strong this season. It's game-ending for Branded and Runick and hurts other meta decks pretty badly. Labrynth and Marincess can't use their Field Spells, Live☆Twin and Floowandereeze can't search their decks, and Sky Striker and Numeron can't do anything.

When going second against Runick, the win con is to resolve Endymion's Pendulum Effect. Konami has ruled that Hugin can only apply her effect when "another card(s)" would be destroyed and not when Hugin herself would be destroyed. So as long as you include Hugin when selecting cards for Endymion to destroy, she cannot protect anything from Endymion's board wipe.

Other notes:

  • Many Endymion decks are hovering around 45 cards, but I'm staying at 40-41 in order to see Servant, Endymion, and Secret Village as consistently as possible.

  • Loving the ratio of 23 Spells to 18 monsters. You can almost never go wrong with top decking a Spell, whereas top decking a monster occasionally bricks if both scales are occopied.

  • Dropped down to just 1 Magister and it's been great. I would never remove him completely because does do a lot of work, but at 40-41 cards I really want to be seeing Spells and other monsters.

  • Still liking Called by the Grave over other "push through" options. Triple Tactics Talent would be a consideration if my deck size increases.
