Notes & Combos

Breakdown of the deck:

  • Level 1 birds: The standard package.

  • Stormwinds Barrier: Good floodgate. Usually skips opponent's MP1. At best forces a scoop.

  • D Shifter: One of the best cards Floo can run. Locks Salads, Eldlich, Marincess (iirc) and a few other big decks out of the game.

  • Apex Avian: Omni negate with no once per turn. Only limited by how many normal summons you can get during the opponent's turn. I'd usually summon it when opening Robina + Map + Empen and go to Barrier Statue using Dreaming Town first thing next turn.

  • Raiza: Non destruction removal and can loop D Shifter + itself (tribute summon using Empen, return Shifter to deck and return Raiza to hand)

  • Empen: The boss monster you'll be using the most. Its Skill Drain effect is usually dodged but the search & extra normal summon effect has no once per turn. Can destroy beefier monsters with its halve atk effect.

  • Dark Ruler: An out to Baronne, Chixiao, Masquerade and many more. Love running it.

  • Pots: I think all three can be used in the same turn. Bait for Ash. Extravagance can't be used with Shifter, sadly.

  • Book of Moon: Swapped out Evenly for this because of how common Imperm was and still is. Haven't regretted it yet. Can also bait out negates.

  • Called by the Grave: Protection against Ash, to which Floo post-Map's semi-limit is very vulnerable.

  • Floo Advent: Usually my Robina search. Also protects against Imperm.

  • Extra Deck: Have only used Lyril Nightingale in this month's climb.
