Notes & Combos
This december I've decided to try out White Forest Azamina with the new support! I've played this deck in the past with the Fiendsmith engine and I liked it a lot, but with the new Azamina/Diabell/White Forest cards you don't need it anymore.
It's been a while since I've tried climbing to Master I (lately I've been stopping around Master V), but this month I was motivated enough to do it. It was not easy though - this deck really struggles against Maxx C and Droll, and even though it is more consistent than before (we finally have a one-card combo with the new field spell, even though it's not the full combo), you can still brick sometimes. I've deranked multiple times and had to climb back up.
The endboard if you go first uninterrupted is crazy - you can end up on Baronne + Ilia Silvia (2 omni-negates), Diabellstar Vengeance (pop + summon from extra deck, which can either Silvera or Poplar into Vengeance Dragon), Saint Azamina (floodgate), Diabellze (destruction protection) and Diabell (summon from extra deck).
Also, don't sleep on Saint Azamina reverse damage effect - it won me many games going 2nd that I had no business winning.
Ideally, you should probably play 3 copies of the field spell (Witch of the White Forest). To save some UR dust though, I only crafted 2 and instead played a 2nd copy of Tales of the White Forest (which I already had), and I ended up liking that.
In the extra deck, the cards I've used the least were Moa Regina and Zapper Shrimp - they didn't come up often, but when they did, they were game-winning, so I wouldn't cut them.
Quick note about the Sinful Spoils I played: I ended up playing Morrian since if you brick on it at least it can be a disruption on its own. You could cut the Sinful Spoils of the White Forest but I like how searchable it is.
At some point I was playing Black Goat Laughs and it helped me win a few games, but I also bricked on it a lot, so I cut it. I also tried Azamina Aphes but it felt too bricky and win-more (your board is already good without it and it doesn't do anything on its own, you need to already have synchro/fusion summon). You could also consider Sinful Spoils of Betrayal - Silvera, but it has the same problem.
Hope you enjoy the deck, let me know your thoughts!
