Notes & Combos
Master V with Darklords was a grind. I lost quite a few Rank-Up games, but after a tough climb, I finally made it.
My main goal when building the deck was to make it as consistent as possible.
No Morningstar: I chose not to play Morningstar because this allows me to reliably set up the two traps during the turn, which also improves a bit the consistency.
And the Fallen & the Virtuous is simply too good not to play.
Why solfachord Engine?: In my opinion, Solfachord is the best engine to complement Darklords. It can put an omni-negate on the field before you start making your Darklord plays. On top of that, if Coolia gets negated, you still have a negate available in the Pendulum Scale through Solfegia.
And for consistency i had many games where I would draw only one Ixchel or one Gulgolet, and neither of them gives you much by itself. Because of that, I preferred to max out both names so that I could see them together more often and have access to more plays. With this version the game plan going second is to try to break through the opponent's board using your engine. If your opponent has combo, a single hand trap is almost never enough to stop them, so I prioritized consistency over playing more disruption.
Deck Strengths
The deck has several things going for it:
A solid and layered board in turn 1 because you can establish multiple layers of interaction through the monsters and traps.
Eveningstar is the best card in the deck: It's a 4,000 ATK boss monster that cannot be targeted, generates a +2, and can also copy effects, literally the best card in the deck.
Good draw power: Ixchel gives the deck a strong way to dig through the deck and sometimes draw non-emgine like ash or droll.
Multiple 1-card combos: The deck has several cards that can start your plays by themselves, including Primoa, Djehuty, Happiness, Kambi, and Banishment (14 1-card starters).
Kambi is an excellent starter: Kambi fits perfectly into the strategy because it gives you access to the advantages of the Solfachord engine without using your Normal Summon. This makes it one of your best starters.
Why I don't play Electrumite: Kambi is also the reason I don't play Electrumite, since kambi locks you into Fairies, which can interfere with the rest of your plays if you don't play musecia, even if you lose +1 of electrumite as I mentiones kambi is your best starter/bait. If this deck description has some type errors is because i'm not a native english. thanks for reading it
