Notes & Combos

Hello fellow Magicians!

I’m back following the announcement of the new Dark Magician support. This support is a huge breath of fresh air for the deck; we now have many new ways to play it with much better consistency thanks to all the 1-card combos enabled by Dark Magician of Destruction.

As you know, to see my Combo Guide, you just need to head over to the Master Duel Meta server and check the Dark Magician channel, you'll find all the new deck information in the pinned messages.

Most of my matchups were against VSK9 (+52%), where Purulia really shines, even more than Fuwalos. As advice: shotgun your Fuwalos and Purulia in the standby phase; this worked great for me to end their turns. The only 3 flex spots in the main deck are 2x Droll and 1x Crossout. Previously, I was playing 3x DD Crow, but having Droll is good enough while also being able to negate it with Crossout since it kills our deck entirely. Regarding the Extra Deck, you can add Selene instead of Artemis, Miasma or Verte.

I really enjoyed playing this variant since its very thematic to Yugi/Atem, but across the whole climb I noticed its pros and his flaws. Right now I'd say the Diabell variant is slightly stronger, difference being in the hand economy and Extra Deck room comparing both variants, but both are definitely Master worthy and enough to compete with the best decks.
