This deck mainly focuses on going second by playing handtraps to disrupt the opponent's turn one and if the plan fails, Lightning Storm/ Evenly Matched can handle the rest of the board. Strategy varies often, as most turn 2 decks, but generally:
- Lightning Storm / Evenly Matched their board, after Dark Ruler No More if they have infinite negates
- Start your play with Rikka Petal and search for Snowdrop, special summon Snowdrop + another Plant monster, then activate Snowdrop's effect targeting itself. Now you can summon Teardrop the Rikka Queen, your main boss monster. She can deal with a monster on the board by tributing, which plays around a lot of cards that say "cannot be destroyed by card effects".
- After that, you mainly gain advantage by being able to bring back Rikka Petal and start winning by having more resource, make more Teardrop etc.
- A neat OTK combo would be Kanzashi + Teardrop on an empty board: Attack with Kanzashi + Teardrop, activate Teardrop to tribute itself, then activate Kanzashi's effect to bring back Teardrop from GY for exactly 8000 damage. Note that this is impossible at turn 2 so you have to plan when to commit resources and go for game.
- Resource management on this deck is very important, think about how many cards do you want to commit to this play and should have a plan for a turn 4 play.
A more budget friendly version of this deck would be to:
- Replace DRNM + Nibiru with Kaijus (ideally with ATK < 2800)
- Cut a Lightning Storm for Raigeki
- -1 Teardrop, -1 Linkuriboh, -1 Alsei and replace them with Hyperiton and generic link 2 and link 3 monsters
