Notes & Combos
Was inspired by Don's GMX build, who said it was exceptionally consitent but with low ceiling. I decided to add a few bricks in to increase the ceiling, and it ended up paying off beautifully.
Only killed myself with 55 once lmao. GMX is super fluid as your plays and end board varies massively depending on what you open, how your interupted, and what you mill. Its really fun. Misc is as goated as ever.
Regarding a few of the strange choices:
- GMX Lab #5... exists to reset garnets and reduces the chance of you killing yourself with Applied Experiment #55. If you do not open Labradorite, it is not required to search this card at all. If your concerned about Applied Experiment's damage, its better to set a GMX to the top of your deck as this list runs more Dinosaur monsters then GMX monsters.
- Carboneddon... summons Labradorite, a lv 6 tuner from your deck, thus allowing Baronne access. You could easily turn this into a toolbox of synchros, but generally I felt like the links were more flexible. It is an alternative target off Selande if you already have Dino Dan access (allowing rank 3 access if you so choose), and is a great mill from the deck with Applied Experiment or Supression Squad. Speaking of...
- GMX Supression Squad... it is a special summon from hand that, unlike GMX Partner Selandae, doesnt lock you in any way. This is useful in certain situations. Its mill is pretty unreliable (and can rarely mess you up by milling Tyranno), but can sometimes allow Misc to summon Oviraptor. More important is its a lv 4 that turns itself into a Dinosaur, thus making Evolzar access far easier (especially under Fuwalos).
- Overtex Qoatlus... pretty simple, mill it with Applied Experiment or fuse it from hand to get Double Evolution Pill for Tyranno. If you already open the pill, you can summon Overtex with the pill instead! If you open both, just reset Overtex with Lab and use the pill to pull it from deck!
